  • HOW TO USE

    Split the pod lengthways and scrape the seeds for baking, desserts, or cooking.

    Add the whole pod to sugar, cream, or spirits to infuse flavour.

    One pod is sufficient for most recipes.

    What you need

    • 1–2 whole vanilla beans
    • 1 cup raw or white sugar
    • Glass jar

    Steps

    1. Split bean lengthways
    2. Scrape seeds into sugar
    3. Drop the whole pod in
    4. Seal + shake
    5. Leave 1–2 weeks (gets stronger over time)
