About Vanuatu Island
Vanuatu Island was founded in 2019 by Justine “Juss” Murray while she was working in the Middle East for the Saudi Royal family. During that time, she purchased four beachfront properties on Aore Island as a living inheritance for her three sons.

The process was difficult. Buying land remotely, setting up businesses from overseas, and relying on agents who often disappeared once contracts were signed exposed a clear gap in the market. Out of frustration, the idea for a simple, one-stop service was born. What started as a single landing page quickly grew.

After the tragic loss of her son, Juss moved to Aore to heal. During her grief, the kindness and compassion of the Ni-Vanuatu people left a lasting impact. That experience sparked a deeper purpose: to create opportunities, build something enduring, and give back to the community that supported her when she needed it most.

From that seed, Vanuatu Island evolved into a group of connected businesses, including:

Today, the group employs over 30 people across Australia and Vanuatu. Juss has since retired to focus on her grandchildren, with the next generation now leading the business. While she maintains a public presence, a dedicated team manages day-to-day operations.
