                  ENJOYING YOUR STAY WITH US

Welcome

We are delighted to welcome you to our traditional Vanuatu beach house. Nestled along the pristine shores of Aore Island, this home is built with local materials and offers an authentic island experience. While amenities are simple, the experience is rich from reef swims to cultural connections with the Ni-Vanuatu community.

Our Story

Our beachfront home on Aore Island is more than just a place to stay  it is a labour of love; built by hands we trust and a dream we hold dear. This house was carefully constructed by our long-term local team, with special thanks to  the late Bula for his stunning stonework. We are deeply grateful to Joel, David, John-mark, Netty, Mata and Willy for their dedication and care in helping us build something so meaningful. Every beam and post was cut from timber milled right here on the property, and the bamboo was hand-harvested from nearby Malo Island. All of the furniture was also crafted from timber grown on our land, adding a layer of authenticity and connection to nature that you will feel the moment you arrive.

The beachfront itself is always evolving sometimes sandy, sometimes scattered with coral and rocks, depending on the changing trade winds. But it is always safe to walk out to the reef, where the sea stretches out peacefully into the horizon
This home was built in memory of our beloved son, Phoenix, who dreamed of living simply in Vanuatu but tragically passed before seeing that dream come true. In his honour, the beach has been lovingly named Pixy Beach, and it now serves as a peaceful, healing place that carries his spirit. My son Xande swims with the Dugongs daily ,we like to think that this is his spirit.

The property is part of a 200-acre plantation owned by the Murray family. We currently have four homes here and operate a working plantation with Cacao,
Vanilla, Pepper, and Coffee. We are fortunate to welcome like-minded visitors and leaseholders who share in our vision of sustainable, simple living.

Our family motto is: “Live simply, so others can simply live.”

This home is our heart, and we are proud to share it with those seeking peace, connection, and beauty by the sea and proud to be part of the Vanuatu culture.

Living Simply, Living Respectfully

During storms the internet may drop out and may stay down for a few hours.

    Why Internet May Be Slow

Due to our remote island location, internet speeds can vary.

Heavy rain, cloud cover, or network congestion may reduce speed or cause short dropouts.

  • What should I do if my internet is not working?

Local SIM cards (Vodafone or Digicel) can be arranged if needed. Please contact your host.

  • Why is the internet slower than in the city?

Why is the internet slower than in the city?

Internet on Aore Island is provided via satellite in Fiji and shared across the region. Speeds may be lower than urban areas and can vary depending on demand and weather.

Internet on Aore is reliable for general use, but it is still a remote island connection. Expect occasional slowdowns due to weather, power use, or network demand. With a little patience and basic troubleshooting, it should meet most needs during your stay.

As of 3rd of March 2026 internet on Aore is powered by Starlink and is performing strongly, with speeds of approximately

  • 251 Mbps download
  • 28 Mbps upload,
  • latency (ping) around 61 ms.

The connection is routed via the Nautile server in Noumea, with typical loaded latency ranging between 64–68 ms.

While this is excellent for a remote island location and supports streaming, video calls, and general browsing, speeds can still vary due to weather, power usage, and network demand. With a little patience and basic troubleshooting, it should comfortably meet most needs during your stay.

"Exploring Aore Island: Unmatched Investment Potential in Pristine Paradise"
A thatched hut is surrounded by a clear bubble
By Noelyn Timothy July 10, 2024
WHAT IS A REAL ESTATE BUBBLE? A real estate bubble occurs when the prices of real estate properties are driven up to unsustainable levels due to speculation, excessive demand, and unrealistic expectations of future price increases. This can lead to a period of rapid price growth followed by a sudden and sharp decline in property values. Real estate bubbles can have significant negative effects on the economy, financial markets, and individuals who have invested in property during the bubble period. COUNTRIES IN A REAL ESTATE BUBBLE IN 2024 It is difficult to predict with certainty which countries will be in a real estate bubble in 2024. However, some countries that have been identified as potentially at risk of a real estate bubble include: Canada: The Canadian housing market has been experiencing rapid price growth in recent years, particularly in major cities like Toronto and Vancouver. Sweden: Sweden has also seen significant increases in housing prices, leading some observers to raise concerns about a potentially overheated market. Australia: The Australian housing market has been experiencing strong price growth, particularly in major cities like Sydney and Melbourne. United Kingdom: The UK housing market has been strong in recent years, particularly in London and the southeast, raising concerns about a potential bubble. It is important to note that these are just a few examples of countries that have been identified as potentially at risk of a real estate bubble, and the situation may change in the future. Investors and policymakers should monitor these markets closely for signs of overheating and take appropriate measures to address any potential risks. According to reliable real estate sources, Vanuatu is considered a great place to invest in real estate due to its stable and steadily growing market. Unlike other popular real estate markets that are experiencing a bubble, Vanuatu has seen consistent growth without the risk of a sudden downturn. The country's political stability, attractive tax incentives for investors, and growing tourism industry have all contributed to the increasing demand for property in Vanuatu. Additionally, the low cost of living and beautiful natural surroundings make it a desirable destination for both investors and expats looking to purchase a second home or vacation property. Overall, Vanuatu offers a unique opportunity for investors to diversify their portfolio in a market that is both stable and promising for long-term growth. With a supportive government and an expanding economy, investing in real estate in Vanuatu is considered a wise decision by industry experts.
